Pippin

Pippin is a Mac application that automatically captures and maintains your to-do list by reading text from your screen. It identifies tasks from emails, chat messages, and other applications, adding them to a Recents section where you can choose which items to add to your main to-do list. The app continuously updates your tasks as things progress - closing completed items, adding new ones, and keeping your list current without manual intervention.

The app prioritizes privacy by reading only text through macOS Accessibility, never capturing passwords, and storing all data locally on your Mac rather than on cloud servers. It uses artificial intelligence that you provide - either your own ChatGPT plan, a Claude API key, or an OpenRouter key - to understand the text and extract meaningful tasks.

Pippin is designed for people who struggle with keeping to-do lists updated, frequently miss important requests, or have too many projects and threads to track manually. It eliminates the constant overhead of typing tasks, checking them off, and reviewing stale lists, letting you focus on your work while Pippin maintains your list.
