What information does Kern keep about my tasks?

Kern stores your tasks and everything in them including titles, notes, dates, reminders, labels, spaces and sections, and links between tasks. It also keeps the activity log of who changed what and when, AI-generated filing information, research notes with sources, and task descriptions.

Does Kern keep screenshots of windows I attach on Mac?

No. Kern never keeps the picture of a window you attach on Mac, only the window's link as a button and what the AI read in the window as part of the task.

Who has access to my tasks and data?

Your tasks are stored by Supabase in Ireland. Claude by Anthropic and OpenAI handle the AI features and voice transcription respectively. Sentry receives crash reports not linked to your account, and PostHog counts feature usage without your tasks. Your tasks are never sold and never used for ads.
