A look at freqo.eu

Freqo is a privacy-first analytics platform that counts every website visitor anonymously, without cookies or stored IP addresses, while respecting visitor consent choices. The tool includes a built-in consent banner available in all 24 official EU languages, and can work with existing consent management tools.

When visitors refuse consent, Freqo continues to count them anonymously, tracking page views, traffic sources, countries, devices, and goals. When visitors accept consent, Freqo adds features like returning visitor tracking, cross-visit journeys, and multi-week unique visitor counts. All visitor data is stored on Freqo's own servers in France and is never sold or shared.

Freqo also measures mobile apps for iOS and Android, monitors website and server uptime with push alerts, and provides an agency plan for managing multiple client sites. The platform includes live visitor tracking, exportable CSV reports, and a mobile app for monitoring statistics and receiving downtime alerts.

FAQ

What happens when a visitor clicks Refuse?
Freqo continues counting the visit anonymously with no cookie, nothing stored on the device, and no stored IP address. Page views, sources, countries, devices and goals remain visible, but features requiring returning visitor recognition are excluded.
Do I still need a cookie banner if using Freqo?
The anonymous count requires no cookie banner. However, if you want to track returning visitors and cross-visit journeys, Freqo's built-in banner requests consent in your visitor's language, or you can use your existing consent tool.
Where is visitor data stored?
Visitor statistics are stored on Freqo's own servers in a data centre in France within the European Union. Data is never sold or shared.
How long is visitor data kept?
Statistics are kept for 25 months then deleted automatically. When a visitor accepts consent, the device identifier lasts 13 months at most and consent is requested again after 6 months.
Can Freqo measure mobile apps?
Yes. Add an app in your dashboard and copy the code for your technology. Freqo counts openings and time spent without storing anything on the phone, requiring no consent prompt. Each app counts as one site in your plan, with each opening counting as one page view.
