CareerID is a hiring platform for early-career talent in India that ranks candidates by proctored skill assessments rather than CGPA, college affiliation or resume keywords. Each job posting includes a JD Score test generated from the job description itself, a four-layer proctored assessment covering Speed & Coverage, Understanding, Execution, and Real-World Validation, producing a single 0–10 score.

Candidates upload a resume, apply in one click, and take a job-specific test. Results are released with their score and whether they met the employer's cutoff. Those who qualify move to the Shortlisted stage automatically and are invited to a live interview in CareerID's built-in interview room, which includes 16 tools such as Coding, SQL, Whiteboard, and Spreadsheet.

The platform is free for candidates throughout the process: no fees for profiles, applications, assessments or interviews. Employers review a ranked pipeline of applicants and conduct interviews inside the platform. Every applicant is told their score and the status of their application, with no ghosting or screening based on college or keywords.

CareerID is operated by Career Identity Private Limited and serves on-site, hybrid and remote roles across India with pay in INR.

FAQ

How do I track my applications?
The application tracker shows every role you applied to with its current stage, interview invitations and decisions. Every move from Applied to Selected is time-stamped, with the recruiter's note attached.
What does a proctored assessment record?
Only what you explicitly permit in the browser prompt: periodic webcam stills, screen recording and audio, plus integrity events like switching tabs. Capture starts when the assessment starts and stops when it ends, never in the background or elsewhere on the site.
Can I reuse an assessment for another role?
Yes. Tests are mapped to job descriptions, and one test can back several postings. Each candidate's results stay scoped to the role they applied for.
What happens if a candidate scores below the JD Score cutoff?
Results are released when the employer's test window closes, or as each score arrives if the employer set no window. At that point every scored applicant at or above the cutoff, and inside the shortlist size if the employer set one, moves to Shortlisted automatically, with a timeline entry and a notification to both sides. The other applicants are moved to Rejected and notified with their score. Nobody is screened out on CGPA, college or resume keywords, and nobody is turned down without being told the score the decision was based on.
Which skills can CareerID test hands-on?
Each skill in a job description is matched to a working tool automatically, and 15 of the interview room's 16 tools are also used in the JD Score test. For example, Java and Python go to Coding, React to Frontend, PostgreSQL to SQL, Docker to Cloud & Terminal, Pandas to Python DS, Excel and financial modelling to Spreadsheet, Tableau to Data Visualization, system design to Whiteboard, UML to Pro Diagrams and copywriting to the Rich Text Editor. That covers engineering, data and finance, design and systems, and business and writing roles, not only software.
