How voting signals work on Launching Pro

Voting requires email verification. One vote per listing per person, self-votes only after peer votes. Rate limits and anomaly detection protect against manipulation.

Voting eligibility and mechanics

To vote, sign in and confirm your email address. Each person gets one vote per listing on live launches only. If you want to vote for your own launch, you must vote for another listing first.

The system applies hourly and daily rate limits to prevent abuse. Suspicious vote bursts are flagged and held for review before being counted. Periodic human checks may trigger on your account.

Separation of signals

Votes are a community telemetry stream separate from all other ranking systems. Paid ranking (the billboard), verification badges, and factual metrics such as Domain Rating operate independently and are labelled accordingly.

No transaction or payment affects your vote count. Votes remain a pure community signal. Active members accumulate influence over time, which can increase the weight of their votes in the aggregate—but only through sustained participation, never through purchase.

Questions people ask

Can I vote multiple times for the same launch?
No. You get one vote per listing. Rate limits per hour and per day prevent rapid repeated voting.
Why can't I vote for my own launch first?
You must vote for another listing before voting for your own. This rule protects the integrity of the voting signal.
Do paid features change how votes are counted?
No. Paid ranking, verification, and community votes are separate systems. Payment never affects vote counts.
What happens if the system detects suspicious voting?
Anomalous bursts are flagged and held for human review before being counted towards the total.
