Paid ranking mechanism
The billboard is a distinct leaderboard at /leaderboards/billboard. It ranks listings by cumulative money contributed by their owners, labelled as a paid ranking. Contributions are denominated in US dollars with a minimum of $5.
Contribution accumulation
Each new contribution adds to your listing's total. The board orders by cumulative contribution—higher totals rank first. Once contributed, your listing remains on the board.
How to contribute
From your account you can contribute once your listing is live. Sign in at /account/listings, select "Upgrades and extras" for your listing and enter your contribution amount under Billboard. You can also add a contribution during submission at the plan step.
Separation from other signals
The billboard is independent from community votes, Launch of the Week, verification status and Domain Rating. Each ranking system is labelled separately. Community voting, the billboard, verification and Domain Rating operate as distinct systems. Promo codes do not discount billboard contributions.
Linked to your website for life
The full board at /leaderboards/billboard shows every contributor, and each company name is a followed link (no nofollow) to that company's website. It is kept for life and is not tied to your position. It is removed only when a listing is taken down for breaking our rules, or when the contribution is refunded.
Questions people ask
