How do reviews, comments and influence work?

Community reviews and voting
Reviews are written by founders assessing each other's launches. To publish one, you need a confirmed email, an active listing of your own, and at least 80 characters. You can review any product once; you cannot assess your own. Reviews appear immediately.
Listing owners and managers with team access post one public response per review. You can edit or delete your response afterwards. The original reviewer gets a notification when you reply.
Tool reviews together
For in-depth reads on the business and SaaS tools here, use "Tool reviews" in the footer (shown once one exists) to open /reviews. It lists Product reviews only: each commissioned by the vendor, labelled, and not editable by the vendor. Peer reviews stay on each tool's listing. Ratings are not averaged.
Comments and visibility
Signed-in visitors with confirmed emails can comment on launches and reply to other comments. Anyone can flag a listing, review, response or comment using the Report link. If 3 people report a review or comment, it is hidden pending review by our team. Reported listings go directly to our team for assessment; they do not auto-hide.
Following and updates
Use Follow on any founder, product or launch. You receive notices about their activity in your feed—set your preferences at /account/notifications. Companies post updates shown on their listing and aggregated at /updates. Share any launch via X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, Threads, WhatsApp or email using ready-written text, or copy the link.
Influence metrics
Influence is earned through activity: publishing reviews and comments, receiving votes on your listing, and consistent sign-ins. It is not purchasable. Higher influence increases the weight of your votes. Check your current level at /account/influence.
Questions people ask
- Can I review a product more than once?
- No. You can write one review per product. The review publishes immediately once you submit it.
- What happens if multiple people report something?
- If 3 people report a review or comment, it is hidden until checked. Reported listings are always reviewed by our team but do not auto-hide.
- How do I earn influence?
- Influence is earned by writing reviews and comments, receiving votes on your own launch, and signing in regularly. Your level appears at /account/influence.
- Can I see every tool review on Launching Pro in one list?
- Yes, /reviews lists the vendor-commissioned Product reviews. Peer reviews are on each tool.
