A help center that automatically updates when code changes and drafts missing articles from customer questions, with an AI assistant that answers with sources.
Overview

A look at usedocs.app
usedocs is a help center and documentation platform for SaaS teams that keeps documentation accurate by automatically proposing edits when code changes and drafting new articles from unanswered customer questions. When a pull request merges or release ships, usedocs checks affected articles and proposes updates with the code changes as evidence. Unanswered questions, support tickets, and not-helpful votes become ranked gaps, and the platform drafts missing articles automatically. All edits and drafts wait in a single review queue for approval before publishing. The hosted help center supports custom domains, translations, private collections, and includes an AI assistant that answers questions exclusively from published docs and cites the source for every answer.

FAQ
- What is usedocs?
- usedocs keeps your help center accurate by turning merged pull requests into edit proposals and unanswered questions into article drafts. You approve both in one review queue, and the assistant answers customers from the published docs with a link to the source.
- Will the assistant make things up?
- No. The assistant answers only from your published docs and links the section it used, so every answer can be checked. When the docs don't back an answer up, it says it doesn't know instead of guessing.
- Does anything get published without my approval?
- No. Edits and drafts wait in your review queue until you approve, change, or dismiss them. Nothing is posted on GitHub either, unless you turn on comments on pull requests.
- How does usedocs know an article is out of date?
- It reads every merged pull request and release in the repositories you pick, and checks each published article against your code and your website every week. Each edit shows the code it was based on.
- What counts as an AI conversation?
- One visitor's chat with the assistant counts as one conversation. Follow-up questions in that same chat are free. Growth includes 2,000 conversations per month, pooled across all your bots.
