Overview

A look at tinyfloor.com
TinyFloor is a virtual office for remote teams that runs entirely in the browser. Your team appears as pixel-art characters on a shared 2D floor where you can see who's around, walk over to talk with teammates, and join meetings in a virtual meeting room. The platform includes team chat with channels and direct messages, a shared whiteboard, team presence indicators showing who's free or busy, and proximity-based video calls that start when you stand next to someone rather than clicking a meeting link.
The service is designed to replace the spontaneous conversations lost in remote work. Unlike traditional video conferencing platforms that require scheduling calls, TinyFloor keeps an office open all day so teams can drift between conversations and see who's available without status meetings. All features are included on every plan - the difference between free and paid plans is only the number of people an office can hold.

- How does proximity video chat work?
- Walk up to a teammate and a call button appears. Tap it to start a call. Once talking, you can turn on your camera or share your screen. Calls use WebRTC over Cloudflare's network and stay open until someone hangs up. For groups, you join a meeting and your character walks into the meeting room.
- Is TinyFloor free?
- Yes, TinyFloor is free for an office of up to 3 people with everything included. After that, Pro is $29 a month for the whole team, not per person.
- How is TinyFloor different from Zoom or Google Meet?
- Zoom and Google Meet put everyone in one grid until the meeting ends. TinyFloor keeps an office open all day so you can see who's around, drift between conversations and talk to whoever you walk over to, without scheduling a call.
- Is TinyFloor private and secure?
- An office is only for its members and nothing inside is public or indexed by search engines. Calls are encrypted in transit by WebRTC. Your camera and microphone are only on during a call.
