Sez Where?
Find relevant passages in documents using plain-language questions
A web application that finds relevant passages in documents by processing plain-language questions, even when documents use different words.
Overview

A look at sezwhere.com
Sez Where? is a web application that helps users find relevant passages in documents by asking questions in plain language. Users can paste text or upload PDF, Word, text, or Markdown files, then ask questions about the document's content. The app uses AI to locate and highlight matching passages, even when the document uses different wording than the question.
The tool is designed for exploring documents like terms of service, privacy policies, and agreements. Results show passages ranked by relevance, which users can read in context within the source document. The app helps locate text rather than providing answers, allowing users to verify information directly from the original document.

FAQ
- What types of files can I upload?
- You can paste text or upload a PDF, Word document (.docx), plain-text file (.txt), or Markdown file (.md).
- How many questions can I ask?
- With a free account using email login, you can ask 25 questions per day. Cached answers are free to access.
- What happens to my document when I ask a question?
- Your question and document text are sent to TypeSafe's Jev for AI processing. Your last document is also saved in your browser. See the privacy policy for details about processing, storage, and sharing.
- How should I interpret the results?
- Passages are ranked by estimated relevance to your question. A high score does not guarantee that a passage answers it, and a missing match does not prove the document says nothing about it. Read the surrounding text and related sections before drawing a conclusion.
