A look at pafcore.site

PafCore is a website performance monitoring tool that identifies which files are slowing your site and ranks potential fixes by how many points they could earn. Unlike typical speed tools that give a score and a long checklist, PafCore runs three Lighthouse checks, finds the specific file causing slowness, and helps you prove whether a fix actually worked. It also includes uptime monitoring to alert you when your site goes down, with warnings for SSL certificate and domain expiry.

Feature notes

  • Three-run performance measurement to distinguish real gains from score variance
  • Identifies specific slow file causing performance issues
  • Ranks fixes by potential performance point impact
  • SSL certificate and domain expiry warnings
  • CLI, MCP, and API access
  • Headless Chrome testing on simulated slow 4G connection
  • Scheduled daily or hourly performance checks with score history

Pricing

Free: score, slow file, and a few problems; three checks daily. $5 for 20 credits (lab checks, verify fixes, file lookup, image download, code to paste). Pro Watch $19/mo includes 20 pages monitored, alerts, certificate warnings, 60 monthly credits. Agency $12 per site/month for up to 25 sites.

FAQ

Is this just Lighthouse with a nicer look?
It uses Lighthouse for the raw scores, but differs in two key ways. PafCore loads the page three times and shows how far the score moves on its own, helping you distinguish real gains from lucky runs. It also finds the specific file behind slowness and ranks fixes by potential impact, whereas Lighthouse gives one run and stops.
What will it cost?
The free check shows the score, slow file, and a few problems with three free checks daily. Sign in for the full report and 5 free credits to try paid steps once. After that, a pack is $5 for 20 credits. Pro Watch is $19/month with 60 credits monthly, scheduled checks, and alerts.
Can I use it from Cursor or the terminal?
Yes. The website is the easy path, but developers can also use the CLI, connect MCP in Cursor or Claude, or call the HTTP API. Full documentation is available at docs.pafcore.site.
Why did my PafCore score go up but Search Console hasn't changed?
They measure different things on different schedules. PafCore is a lab score for one page loaded now on a simulated phone, while Search Console shows field data from real Chrome users averaged over 28 days. A fix shipped today moves the lab number immediately but the field average takes weeks to show the change.
Can I paste the report into Cursor and let it fix things?
For the fix itself, often yes. The hard part is choosing what to fix. The tool picks whatever number looks worst, not whatever you can win, and it checks its work by running once more. One more run cannot tell a real gain from the score moving by itself. Measuring that move is where PafCore starts.
