A look at ops.goilerplate.com

ops is a deployment platform that lets you run your apps on servers you rent, with built-in SQLite database backups and data management. Deploy any app with a Dockerfile, compose file or Go repo, and ops backs up every database change to your own cloud bucket (S3, R2, B2, Hetzner or MinIO). Browse and edit your database live through the web interface, CLI, terminal UI or AI agent. The platform includes an activity log tracking who changed what, role-based team access, and restore capabilities to any second within the last week. ops holds no SSH keys to your servers and requires no open ports—the agent dials outbound only. You can self-host the entire platform free under AGPL, or use the hosted version for $29/month per workspace with unlimited servers, apps and team members.

FAQ

Does my server need open ports?
No open ports are required for ops. The agent dials out only. Visitors reach your apps through ports 80 and 443 when you add a domain, and even those can be hidden behind a Cloudflare Tunnel.
Can ops see my data?
Only what you explicitly request—a table you open, a query you run, or logs you read pass through to your browser and are never stored. The activity log keeps no SQL or values. You can disable even this by setting data: off and logs: off in /etc/ops/rules, after which the agent refuses all reads.
Is ops open source?
Yes, all of it is open source under AGPL-3.0: the agent, CLI, terminal UI and control plane. You can read the code, self-host it for free, or let ops host it for you.
Can my team work on ops without extra cost?
Yes, team collaboration is free. Invite teammates and everyone works on the same servers and apps. The activity log shows who deployed or changed what. One subscription per workspace covers unlimited team members.
How does the hosted trial work?
Your first workspace gets 30 days with full features, with no card required. After the trial, the workspace becomes read-only until you subscribe—your apps keep running and backups continue, but you cannot deploy or make changes.
