Overview

A look at toklab.ai
TokLab is an API platform that unifies access to AI models from multiple vendors through a single API key and balance. Developers can call image generation, video generation, language models and audio transcription services from providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, ByteDance, and others without managing separate accounts or integrations for each vendor.
The platform uses transparent, per-request pricing with no subscription or monthly minimum. Each model's price is visible before making a request, and failed requests incur no charge. The language model endpoint is compatible with OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini SDKs, while image, video and audio jobs use a unified task API.
Developers top up a USD balance that never expires and can be spent across all models. The platform provides unified error codes across all models, integrated billing and usage tracking, and support for AI agents and model chains through MCP (Model Context Protocol) compatibility.

FAQ
- What is TokLab?
- TokLab is an API platform that provides one API key to access image, video, language and audio AI models from multiple vendors. Users top up a USD balance, see each model's price before calling it, and pay only for requests that succeed.
- How does TokLab billing work?
- TokLab uses pay-per-request billing with no subscription or monthly minimum. Each model is billed in its own unit: per million tokens for language models, per image, per second of video or per minute of audio. Failed tasks cost nothing and credits never expire.
- How do I integrate with TokLab?
- If your code already calls an OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini endpoint, change the base URL and API key to TokLab's and keep everything else. For image, video and audio models, submit a request to get a task ID, then poll for the result.
- What happens when a request fails?
- TokLab does not charge for failed requests. The response carries an error code that means the same thing on every model, with a clear next step such as retrying, fixing a parameter, adding credits or trying another model.
- Can I use AI agents with TokLab?
- Yes. Claude Code and Codex CLI can run on TokLab models, billed to your balance. The TokLab MCP server also lets Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients list models, read prices and submit jobs with your API key.
