Overview

A look at pokeforecast.com
PokeForecast is a Pokemon TCG market intelligence platform that uses AI to analyze live market data and generate price predictions for Pokemon cards. The tool provides current price estimates, 6-month forecast ranges, grading ROI analysis, and risk assessments for both raw and graded cards in multiple conditions. Users can select card condition from Near Mint to Heavily Played for raw cards, or choose PSA, CGC, or BGS grades for graded cards. The platform searches live market data from sources such as TCGPlayer and recent eBay sold listings, and for graded cards reviews population data and auction activity. Predictions include trend labels, confidence ratings, buy/hold/watch/sell recommendations, and detailed explanations of key factors and risks. The platform also features a card scanner, binder scanner for batch pricing, sealed product tracking, market data dashboards, and leaderboards of cards worth grading.

FAQ
- How accurate are PokeForecast predictions?
- PokeForecast is most useful when there is enough real market data. For heavily traded cards, predictions are stronger because the AI has more reliable information. For newer cards, obscure promos, or low volume graded cards, forecasts become less certain and return lower confidence ratings. The tool is a research tool, not a crystal ball, and cannot account for sudden reprints, announcements, or market crashes.
- What is the difference between card condition tiers?
- Near Mint is the most important raw condition, representing cards with little to no visible wear and the most liquid market. Lightly Played cards have minor wear like small edge whitening or light scratches. Moderately Played shows clear wear with obvious whitening and surface scuffs. Heavily Played has significant wear including creases and heavy whitening. Condition is one of the biggest drivers of Pokemon card value, especially for vintage and expensive modern cards.
- Does PokeForecast support Japanese Pokemon cards?
- PokeForecast currently focuses on English Pokemon cards only. Japanese card support is planned for a future update but requires careful implementation because Japanese cards have different release structures, promo distribution methods, set names, and market behavior than English cards.
- Why are graded cards worth more than raw cards?
- Graded cards can be worth more because the condition has been verified by a third party professional service like PSA, CGC, or BGS. With a graded card, much of the uncertainty about condition is reduced. However, a graded card in lower condition may not be worth more than a high-quality raw card.
