PayHook diagnoses payment webhook failures in plain English. When a payment succeeds in Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, or Dodo but the subscription never activates, PayHook shows exactly what the provider sent, verifies the signature using each provider's scheme, and explains what went wrong in your handler. During the beta, you add your PayHook URL as a second webhook endpoint while your app continues receiving events normally. PayHook supports five signature schemes, works for cloud-based development environments like Lovable and Bolt where localhost isn't available, and generates fix prompts for AI code editors like Cursor and Claude Code.

- Do I need to change my code?
- No. In the beta you add your PayHook URL as a second endpoint in the provider's webhook settings, and your app keeps receiving events as before. After the beta, PayHook can pass every event to your endpoint with the original body and headers, and your handler keeps checking signatures as it does today.
- How is PayHook different from Stripe CLI?
- Stripe CLI only works with Stripe, runs in the terminal, and doesn't explain failures. PayHook covers five providers, works without localhost for cloud development environments like Lovable and Bolt, and tells you why activation failed.
- What exactly does lifetime include?
- Lifetime includes everything in the Pro plan for a one-time payment of $99, with AI diagnosis coming with a fair monthly limit and credits available beyond it. Only the first 100 buyers get this offer, after which it closes permanently.
- Is PayHook live today?
- Yes, PayHook is live in closed beta. The hosted app is running and access opens by invitation. You can request access to get early-bird pricing at launch.
- Will the core be open source?
- Yes, the core opens at launch with event intake, the inspector, signature checks and the CLI. The hosted cloud and AI diagnosis are the paid part.
