NotchPixel
A Dynamic Island-style notch for Windows that opens into a card when you rest the pointer on it
Overview

A look at notchpixel.com
NotchPixel is a Dynamic Island-style notch for Windows 11 and 10 that sits at the top centre of the screen. When you rest the pointer on it, it opens into a card displaying music from any app with lyrics, clipboard history with pins, a file shelf that sends files to your phone over Wi-Fi using a QR code, widgets including clock, weather and PC stats, reminders that show over fullscreen games, and your coding agent status.
In fullscreen games, NotchPixel either hides completely or shows a slim FPS, CPU, GPU and RAM strip. The notch can float under the top edge like the iPhone's Dynamic Island or hang from it like a MacBook notch. It comes in multiple themes including Black, Graphite, Liquid Glass and soft colour themes.
The app has no account, no telemetry and no ads. Everything stays on your PC and nothing goes to the company's servers. NotchPixel is signed by Microsoft and sold only in the Microsoft Store.

FAQ
- Is there a Dynamic Island for Windows?
- Windows has no Dynamic Island built in. NotchPixel adds one as an island at the top centre of Windows 11 and 10 that shows what is playing, your clipboard, files, calls and reminders, and opens into a card when you rest the pointer on it. It can float under the top edge like the iPhone's Dynamic Island or hang from it like a MacBook notch.
- Does it work on Windows 10?
- Yes. NotchPixel runs on Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19041) and later, and on Windows 11, on 64-bit (x64) PCs. It works on any DPI and supports laptops, desktops and multiple monitors.
- Is it a one-time purchase?
- Yes. NotchPixel costs $9.99 once in the Microsoft Store with no subscription and no account required. It includes a free 7-day trial, and the Microsoft Store handles payment, licensing and refunds. Your license follows your Microsoft account.
- Does it work with my music app?
- NotchPixel works with anything that reports media to Windows, including Spotify, YouTube and other sites in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, Apple Music, YouTube Music, foobar2000, and VLC. If the Windows volume flyout shows your track, NotchPixel does.
- Will it get in the way of games?
- No. In a fullscreen game the island either steps aside completely or shows a slim FPS, CPU, GPU and RAM strip if you want one. The strip needs borderless or windowed fullscreen; in exclusive fullscreen nothing can draw over a game.
