An API and MCP server enabling software and AI assistants to send handwritten letters with automated moments tracking and address management.
Overview

A look at maisoncartouche.com
Maison Cartouche provides an API and MCP server that allows software applications and AI assistants to send handwritten letters written by a person and photographed before posting. Developers use the same primitives as the app: people, moments, letters, policies, address requests, sends, and events.
The API includes endpoints for managing agent policies, relationships, upcoming moments with gift history, available pieces to accompany letters, and letter quotes and sends. Users can set policies controlling what kinds of letters their key may send, quantity limits per send and monthly, and approval requirements. Letters can be sent in the owner's voice with optional pieces, and senders receive tracking updates as letters move through stages from approval to delivery.
The service includes webhook events for tracking the full lifecycle of sends, address requests, and reactions. AI assistants connect via Model Context Protocol with the same key and rules, with options for OAuth-based access and assistants that connect through custom connectors like Claude.

FAQ
- How do you create and use an API key?
- In Maison Cartouche, open Account, then Agents, and create a key. A test key starts with odk_test_ and nothing is made or posted. A live key starts with odk_live_. Set the policy for what the key may send, and call the API with the key as a bearer token.
- How is privacy protected in the API?
- The API never returns addresses, emails, or phone numbers. People give their own address through a private address request link. Additionally, a person who said no to gifts is never sent anything, and no person hears from agents more than twice in 30 days.
