layermetry
Embed a video editor or an image editor in your web application
An SDK package providing image and video editors that run in the browser, with support for React, Vue, Svelte, Angular and other frameworks.
Overview

A look at layermetry.com
layermetry provides a full-stack browser editing infrastructure with a single SDK package (@layermetry/media-editor) that includes both image and video editors. The editors run entirely in the browser tab with no ffmpeg dependency, enabling fast exports and offline functionality. The package supports React 19, React 18, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, JavaScript including Angular, Rails, Laravel, Blazor, and Electron, with React Native, Flutter, iOS, Android, and server SDKs in development. The video editor includes timeline editing, audio, captions, AI generation and an AI assistant, while the image editor supports social graphics, multi-page designs, and print-ready PDF export. Developers can customize the editor's appearance through a theme system controlling colors, radius, fonts and logos, and can run the editor headless for batch operations driven by code.

FAQ
- Does the Free plan expire?
- No. Free never expires and is never charged.
- What draws credits?
- Only AI generation. Plain editing does not.
- How much is a generation?
- Your model's list price, passed through with no markup.
- Can we run our own AI model?
- Yes. Point aiProviders and aiProxyUrl at your own endpoint. The request goes from the browser to your endpoint and layermetry never sees the media.
- What happens if layermetry is unreachable?
- The licence check is offline and fails open. Your embedded editor keeps working.
