A look at burnoutzero.com

BurnoutZero is a wellbeing platform that combines personal check-ins with team analytics to help prevent burnout. Employees complete daily 30-second check-ins about energy, mood, and sleep, generating a personal burnout score. Managers see only privacy-protected group trends and team health metrics, never individual scores or check-ins. The platform integrates with Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 to provide context about workload, and supports company sign-in via Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. Available as a free 60-day pilot, then priced per seat with volume discounts. Also offers a free personal app for individuals.

FAQ

Can managers see an individual employee's check-ins?
No. Managers and HR see only team- and organisation-level aggregates, trends and alerts, never any individual's daily check-ins, personal scores, written reflections, or health data. BurnoutZero is built to support employees, not to surveil them.
What does the burnout score measure?
The score is a wellbeing indicator based on check-in data about energy, mood, and sleep, plus optional calendar integration. BurnoutZero is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Its insights support reflection and planning but do not replace professional care.
What is the minimum team size to use BurnoutZero?
The smallest team that can use the paid team plan is five seats. Smaller groups can each use the free or individual Pro plan instead. A published group reading always needs at least 5 eligible participants, or 10 with the stricter union and co-determination preset.
How is health data handled?
Health data from Apple Health or Health Connect is optional and read-only. It is used only to calculate the personal score and personalise insights, never for advertising or sold to third parties. Employees can withdraw permission at any time and BurnoutZero stops reading immediately.
What happens after the free 60-day pilot ends?
The pilot ends without automatic renewal. Customers can choose to continue on a paid team subscription or access simply ends. Nothing renews on its own.
