LocalCloud
Local Google Cloud emulator running 25 services in Docker for developers and AI agents
One Docker container runs local versions of 25 Google Cloud services, a web console, and management APIs for development, testing, and CI without GCP accounts
Overview

A look at local.cloud
LocalCloud is a local Google Cloud development sandbox that packages 25 Google Cloud services into a single Docker container. Developers, CI pipelines, and AI coding agents can build, test, and validate Google Cloud code on their local machines or in automation without needing GCP accounts, credentials, or incurring cloud costs.
The platform supports local development workflows including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Spanner, Cloud Storage, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud KMS, and Dataproc. It includes a web console for inspecting resources, generated SDK endpoints compatible with Google Cloud clients, and persistent local data using Docker volumes.
LocalCloud enables tighter feedback loops for developers debugging transformations and checking schemas, and provides AI coding agents with a sandboxed environment to generate, run, and benchmark code without IAM permissions or cloud credentials. The runtime is fully self-contained and works offline after images are downloaded.
