Overview

A look at domainvigil.app
DomainVigil monitors six critical aspects of your domains: expiry dates, SSL certificates, DNS changes, site availability, email reputation and security threats. It watches these 24/7 with checks running automatically—1,563 per domain per day—and sends alerts through your preferred channels (email, Slack, Discord) at 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before expiry, or immediately when issues are detected.
The service includes an AI copilot that analyzes every alert, identifies the likely cause, and prepares fixes. For domains where you've connected write access (Cloudflare or Hostinger), it can apply fixes automatically on your approval—rolling back DNS changes, enabling auto-renewal, updating SPF/DKIM/DMARC records, or renewing certificates. All monitoring is read-only by default; fixes only happen when you click.
Organized by client with one dashboard, DomainVigil is free for 5 domains with all six watchtowers and email alerts. The free plan never expires and requires no credit card.

FAQ
- Can DomainVigil change my DNS or domain?
- Monitoring is read-only and never touches anything. The copilot can apply fixes only at providers where you connected a write token (Cloudflare and Hostinger), only after your click, and fixes are reversible. Nothing happens without your approval.
- Is the free plan really free or just a trial?
- It is free with no time limit and no credit card required. You get 5 domains, all six watchtowers and email alerts on a permanent plan, not a limited trial version.
- Do I need to install anything on my clients' sites?
- No. DomainVigil queries your domains from the outside the way a visitor would, with no plugin, agent, FTP or SSH access needed on client sites.
- What happens if DomainVigil goes down?
- The service status is public and readable at any time. The monitoring engine itself is watched from outside, so you are alerted before your service stops. After any interruption, checks resume where they stopped.
- Can I change my subscription plan anytime?
- Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. The change takes effect immediately and the amount is prorated. There is no commitment and you can cancel whenever you want with no notice or penalty.
