How to integrate with Launching Pro via API or MCP
Connect your tools or AI assistant to Launching Pro using the REST API or MCP protocol for programmatic access to launches and listings.

Access methods
Two integration paths are available. The REST API at /api/v1 accepts standard HTTP requests with full OpenAPI 3.1 documentation at /api/v1/openapi.json. Alternatively, connect an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or other MCP-compatible clients) to the remote MCP server at /mcp for natural-language search and listing management.
What you can do
Both methods let you:
- Search and read launch data across the platform
- Retrieve full listing details
- Draft and manage your own listings (with your permission)
Voting is not available through either interface.
Authentication
Choose OAuth or a personal API key. OAuth triggers a sign-in page when your assistant first connects. For direct API use, generate a key at /account/developers—keys display once only, and only a hash is retained on our systems.
Quotas and payments
Rate limits and daily quotas are enforced. When payment is required, the API returns a checkout link; all transactions occur on this site, not through your integration.

- Which AI assistants can connect via MCP?
- Claude, ChatGPT and any other client that supports the MCP protocol can connect to the remote MCP server at /mcp.
- What happens when I create an API key?
- Keys are shown once when generated. Only a cryptographic hash is stored, so you cannot retrieve a key later—generate a new one if needed.
- Can I vote on launches through the API?
- No. The API does not support voting. Search, read and manage listings only.
